Ratchet Upgrade to 54t

Add this package to your cart along with your selected wheel model, and we will replace the standard rear hub ratchet with the 54-tooth version. This modification significantly improves drivetrain engagement speed. The angle of engagement decreases from 10° (with the standard 36t system) to just 6.6°. In practice, this means less “dead stroke” (idle crank movement) when starting to pedal, which is particularly noticeable in technical terrain and during dynamic accelerations. The increased number of teeth also makes the hub’s coasting sound distinctly louder and higher pitched.

This package is designed exclusively for wheels built on DT Swiss 350 or DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs. Add it to your cart with your selected wheels, and we will choose the appropriate ratchet model for your specific setup.

The standard 36t Ratchet kit will be delivered with the wheels as a spare service part.
