Every set of ARX 55 is the result of hand-building in our Warsaw workshop. The heart of the set consists of reliable DT Swiss 350 or 240 EXP hubs, paired with Sapim Race or CX-Sprint spokes. These are wheels for those seeking equipment that is bombproof, fast, and ready for thousands of kilometers of racing.
Yes, the wheels are configured for the most popular current Thru Axle system: 12×100 mm (front) and 12×142 mm (rear), which is the standard for almost all modern disc brake road bikes. If your bike has a different system (e.g., Quick Release, Road Boost, 15×100, or other rarer standards), please add the appropriate modification package to your cart.
Yes, all wheels leaving our workshop are already airtight and taped with the proper tubeless tape. Valves are not included in the set, but you can purchase them in our store. Just add them to your cart, and we will select the correct length and base shape to perfectly match the 55mm profile.
The ARX 55 rims feature an internal width of 23 mm, optimized for 28–30 mm road tires. This setup creates the most aerodynamic system with the 55 mm rim and ensures the lowest rolling resistance. These rims can safely handle wider tires, but to maintain race-ready aero performance, we recommend sticking to the 28–32 mm range.
The ARX 55 model features Hooked rims (with a bead hook). This is the most versatile and safe solution, allowing the use of both tubeless systems and classic tires with inner tubes (including latex or TPU), without the strict pressure limits typical of hookless rims.
Both versions represent world-class reliability. The DT Swiss 350 hubs are a “workhorse”—they are bombproof, durable, and offer a great price-to-quality ratio. The DT Swiss 240 EXP hubs are the choice for those fighting for every gram and watt—they are lighter, feature the improved Ratchet EXP system (with fewer moving parts), and a stiffer body, which perfectly complements the racing character of the ARX 55 model.
The U-shape profile of the ARX 55 rim was designed to minimize the impact of crosswinds, maintaining stability unheard of in older “V-shape” designs. However, keep in mind that this is a deep rim dedicated to fast riding. While the wheels handle predictably, they will require a bit more attention in strong gusts compared to shallower models. This set performs best on flat and rolling terrain, where its aerodynamics provide the greatest advantage against gravity.
Thanks to the use of solid spokes (Sapim Race or CX-Sprint) and a reinforced rim structure, the weight limit (rider + bike) is 130 kg. The ARX 55 are wheels created to handle the high loads generated during sprints and dynamic breakaways, making them some of the stiffest and most durable wheels in their class.
