\nThe outer rim profile stays true to the ARX – the same CFD-proven shape and the same 23 mm internal width for 28-30 mm tires. The wheels slice cleanly through the air and handle with confidence even in strong crosswinds. The balance between aerodynamics, low weight and crosswind stability is refined enough here that we deliberately chose to leave it untouched.<\/p>\n
\nOutwardly the rim matches the ARX 48 line, but we redesigned its internal structure from the ground up for carbon spokes. Because these are stiffer and damp vibration differently, we reinforced the rim profile where it matters and offset the added material by precisely tapering the layup elsewhere. The highest-grade T1000 carbon fibre brought rim weight down to just 345 g.<\/p>\n
\nThe next stage of cutting rotating weight happens at the spokes. We build the ARV 48 around aero carbon spokes with titanium heads and threads. This drops overall weight while markedly raising the stiffness of the build. The result is a snappy bike that responds to every pedal stroke – on the climbs and out of corners – with striking ease.<\/p>\n
