Warranty
§1 General Provisions
Dandy Horse Sp. z o.o., with its registered office at ul. Jordanowska 2a, 04-204 Warsaw, hereinafter referred to as the Guarantor, provides a quality warranty for its products, ensuring they are free from material and manufacturing defects.
The warranty is granted to the original purchaser of the product, hereinafter referred to as the Beneficiary, and is non-transferable to third parties in the event of resale.
The territorial scope of the warranty protection covers the European Union.
The basis for processing a warranty claim is the presentation of proof of purchase (e.g., receipt, invoice, order confirmation). To exercise the Lifetime Warranty (specified in §2, point 1a) after the initial 2-year period from purchase, it is also necessary to possess and present the Wheel Passport to verify the product’s service history.
§2 Warranty Period and Scope
The Guarantor provides:
a) Lifetime warranty on bicycle wheels built with carbon fiber rims. “Lifetime warranty” refers to the lifespan of the product while in possession of the original owner, until its technical wear resulting from normal operation. The condition for exercising this warranty after 2 years from the date of purchase is the possession of the Wheel Passport.
b) 2-year warranty (24 months) from the date of purchase on wheels built with aluminum alloy rims.
During the warranty period, the Guarantor undertakes to rectify physical defects (repair) or replace the defective part with one free of defects, free of charge.
The choice of the remedy (repair or replacement) is made by the Guarantor.
§3 Conditions for Maintaining the Warranty
The validity of the warranty is conditional upon the correct installation of the wheels, their use with compatible components, and their use in accordance with the manufacturer’s intended purpose.
All service activities involving changes to spoke tension must be performed in accordance with professional service standards using professional tools, including a calibrated spoke tension meter (tensiometer).
The Beneficiary is obliged to notify the Guarantor of the defect immediately upon discovery.
§4 Complaint Procedure
A warranty claim should include a description of the defect, the date it was noticed, and the Beneficiary’s contact details.
The claimed product must be delivered to the Guarantor’s correspondence address (available in the “contact” section on the website). The product should be clean and properly secured for transport.
The cost of delivering the product to the service center is initially borne by the Beneficiary. If the claim is found to be justified, the Guarantor shall refund the documented and reasonable shipping costs (up to standard market courier rates) and return the repaired product at its own expense.
In the event of an unjustified claim (no defect or defect not covered by the warranty), the Guarantor returns the product at the Beneficiary’s expense.
The Guarantor will respond to the claim within 14 days of receiving the product.
§5 Exclusions of Liability
The warranty does not cover:
a) Components subject to natural wear and tear (including but not limited to: bearings, bearing seats, freehub bodies, pawls, springs), unless their premature wear is a direct result of a material defect.
b) Mechanical damage caused by the user or accidental events (accidents, collisions). Such damage may be covered by the paid Crash Replacement program.
c) Damage occurring during transport organized by the Beneficiary.
d) Damage to wheels resulting from a collision or accident.
e) Failure to follow the guidelines in the attached manual.
f) Mechanical damage resulting from using the product in an environment inconsistent with its intended class and ASTM classification.
The warranty expires or the Guarantor’s liability is excluded in the event of:
a) Unauthorized structural or visual modifications.
b) Interference with spoke tension by persons without appropriate qualifications and service tools.
c) Continued use of the product after noticing a defect.
d) Lack of entries in the service book (Wheel Passport) confirming service activities, if they were performed outside the Dandy Horse service and affected the functioning of the wheels.
§6 Final Provisions This warranty does not exclude, limit, or suspend the buyer’s rights resulting from statutory warranty regulations for defects in the sold item (in B2B relations) or from regulations regarding the lack of conformity of the goods with the contract (in consumer relations).
